OSHIMA Introduces a New Advancement in Fabric Spreading

Taiwan-based garment machinery manufacturer OSHIMA has announced the launch of its new Multi-Roll Fabric Spreading Machine, an advanced automated spreading solution engineered to handle up to six fabric rolls simultaneously within a single production workflow.

Designed for heavy materials, industrial textiles, and nonwoven applications, the system helps manufacturers improve spreading efficiency while reducing floor space requirements, operator workload, and overall equipment investment.

Unlike traditional spreading operations that often require multiple machines running in parallel, OSHIMA’s multi-roll platform consolidates production into one integrated spreading system, allowing manufacturers to prepare large volumes of material more efficiently and consistently.

Developed for High-Demand Manufacturing

The machine was originally developed to address urgent production needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, when global demand rapidly increased for:

  • Protective clothing
  • Isolation gowns
  • Medical textiles
  • Face mask materials
  • Industrial nonwoven fabrics

By enabling large-scale material preparation with fewer operators and lower operating requirements, the machine helped manufacturers accelerate production while maintaining process stability and lowering costs.

Public Debut at TITAS

Industry observers noted that the system offers a practical answer to rising labor costs, manufacturing space limitations, and increasing demand for flexible production capacity.

Continuing Innovation in Smart Manufacturing

As part of its long-term innovation strategy, OSHIMA continues investing in automation, AI-driven quality systems, and IoT-connected production technologies designed to improve workflow efficiency across textile and garment manufacturing.

The launch of the Multi-Roll Fabric Spreading Machine marks another step toward smarter, more efficient industrial production.
