After fabric has been cut, garment factories may inspect the cut pieces before they move to sewing according to their own QC procedures. Some factories check individual pieces, while others use sampling—for example, selecting several representative pattern shapes and taking pieces from the top, middle and bottom of a cut stack for comparison.

PDP-2000 is designed for this post-cutting QC stage. The original cut file is loaded into the system and the selected pattern outline is projected at the required scale onto the QC table. The operator places the actual cut piece over the projected outline and checks whether its size and shape correspond to the original file.

Different pattern pieces, sizes and styles can be selected digitally during inspection. This allows QC personnel to move between different cut pieces without preparing, storing and retrieving a separate physical template for every pattern.

The system can be used with the factory's existing QC procedure, whether inspection is performed piece by piece or by sampling. PDP-2000 operates as a standalone cut-piece QC station and is used after cutting, before the inspected pieces continue to sewing.
